27 year old woman charged
The woman, who was arrested
last Wednesday, faces two counts of attempted murder, possession of explosives
with intent to endanger life and preparation of terrorist acts.
Detectives were given more
time by a court to question her as part of the investigation.
Two young male officers
escaped injury when two pipe bombs were thrown at them in the early hours of
Tuesday 28 May on the Crumlin Road.
The pair were targeted as
they responded to a 999 call in the area.
They had just got out of
their vehicle when the two missiles were hurled at them.
The pipe bombs, which were
described as large homemade grenade-type devices, exploded just yards away from
their armoured vehicle.
The woman will appear before
Laganside Court on Wednesday.
Meanwhile a 25-year-old man
arrested in England on Saturday remains in custody after being brought to the
north for questioning.
