Dissident Republican arrests Dublin
TWO men have been arrested
by gardai investigating dissident republican activity.
Both men were arrested on
James Street in Dublin’s City Centre yesterday afternoon.
The arrests were part of
ongoing investigations in the activities of dissident republicans in Dublin and
Limerick.
Officers attached to the
Special Detective Unit and the Crime Security section arrested the men, who were
aged in their 30s and 60s.
Two handguns were also
recovered at the scene.
As part of a follow up
search in Limerick, a quantity of ammunition was also recovered.
The two men are currently
detained in Clondalkin Garda Station and the investigation is continuing.
