Nine men have been arrested this morning in Limerick in relation to alleged dissident republican activity.
The arrests took place during a series of raids in Limerick city and county during the morning.
The men. who are aged in their 30s to 50s, are being detained in stations across Limerick city and county.
Four men are held in Henry Street, two in Roxboro Road and one each in Mayorstone, Newcastle West and Askeaton.
The men can be detained for up to seven days under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.
No firearms were found during the searches.
